Instructions to make to make Dal Makhani
- Mix all seeds. Clean and wash several times as long as get transparent water. Soak 8-9 hrs or overnight.
- Deacnt soaked water. Take fresh water,dal and turmeric powder. Pressure cook for 5 whistles. Allow to cool naturally.
- Heat ghee in wok. Add cumin seeds and let spluttet. Add whole garam masals and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.
- Further add chopped onion, bay leaf and saute till onions are transparent.
- Add ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilli and cook on low flame. Mix the red chili powder and mix well.
- Take chopped tomatoes and salt and cook till soft. Mix the cooked dal and 2 cups water. Bring a boil.
- Add 2 Tbsp cream and and 1/2 tsp crushed kasoori methi. Cook for 7-8 minutes.
- Bring down. Several hot with zeera rice /parathas.
